Glass manufacturing began in the third millennium BC in Egypt. In Serbia, during the Middle Age, glass was imported from Byzantium, Venice and Dubrovnik, and the beginnings of the glass industry date from the nineteenth century, when the first serbian glass factory was opened near Jagodina. Today in Serbia glass production almost faded out. The only Serbian glass factory is located in Paracin (Central Serbia)
